The two fault lines go around where they want to build it. Locals are worried that the quakes haven't stopped. This is our second one in weeks. About 5 in total since they started. On the other side they've had about 3. But they are starting near a big pit. They've had a lot of tremors for years.
I read a while back there's things they can implement in the ground to stop EMP attacks and mitigate effects of earthquakes. I doubt the dummies in Government would ever consider them though.
Disappointing as a few here were starting to like nuclear.
