I rang
@NoBoDe tonight, told him I had ordered Ivermectin from India for him, and had to listen to him harangueing me about the silliness of taking these tablets and how dangerous they are.
(I won't send them on, because he will insist on paying for them - so they are free, if any of you want them, but be warned, NoBoDe thinks they are dangerous)
He was given a dosage of this medication when he was in hospital (2 years ago), because he did have scabies (or similar, I don't remember) and only was given one dosage and then there was a long medication-free stretch - and he remembers that he was always cautioned about them.
His opinion: Ivermectin cannot possibly work with emphysema, as emphysema means that the delicate lung tissue is covered in the by-products from smoking,
tar - and nothing can remove that. Some cough medications can help - and we talked about that at length, he will try and get more advice from his doctor.
So sorry, and he did ask me to pass on that in his opinion, and he is a chemist be training, Ivermectin is dangerous, particularly if the larger dosage is taken, and it won't make any difference to tar-clogged lung tissue.
Thanks for trying, he also thanked me for trying . . . . I am at my wits' end. Truly!
