Trump is using tariffs in a political manner to achieve the result he wants
In policy I agree with selective tariffs just not broad range, but as a method of protecting a countries manufacturing base
Just the same as our discontinued department of anti gouging, excessive profits which did work but obviously the companies which were making excessive profits did not like that department so had it removed
Both of these measure are fine tuning type systems to keep the system in good condition
