Cattle moved back and forward on the roads with drovers back in the day. They went wherever the feed and markets were better. These days it’s nearly all by truck although trains are being used in QLD for transport to hubs and processors. Great to see cattle on trains instead of road trains. Cattle markets are always at the mercy of the supply and demand equation.
