@31-843B also: I could put you on 'ignore' because, so far all you ever seem to do is slam everything 'labor' everything you consider 'red' - or is it 'blue'? I also believe in genuine conversation - ask my friends - I do listen!
ctd:
. . . .Alright 'green' then - I am not enamoured of the Greenies, but I think Labor have done well these last years, and I had intended to vote for them, but due to illness, I couldn't walk from my car to the voting hall and so I returned home. Despite this, in this, my conservative corner of W.A. a new Labor seat was won, and I am happy about it, as the Liberals seem to trot out the same old programs/prejudices based on people's instincitve fears of almost everything, especially if new, to vomitting point.
And you, with your old-fashioned nic, showing a long deceased party symbol - crossed through - brave man, aren't you? - you remind me of the Japanese found now some 20 years ago, living in a cave n one of the last remaining wildernesses of Japan, who thought the war against the Americans was still going on.
Communism is finished, but Authoritarianism has taken its place - maybe you like it this way.
Is your kind of rear-guard bravery still relevant in the New World's political landscape? Communism has had its day, but leaving as an heir an empire which is still devoted to one-man rule, one-party principles, albeit different - and encouraging similar men to rise all over the Western world too - Trump being one of them.
Do you even consider the thought that - maybe - Trumpism - Orbanism - Erdoganism - the Rise of the Right in Europe in general - could be of the same mental lineage as the much-decried dictatorial Communist regimes, stemming from a similar mindset, that only a single-party rule can solve all ills of society, with a 'hero-type' male in total command?
Democracy is such a delicate flower, we all need to work together to keep it alive. That's one reason why I am wasting my time posting on here. Think about it!
What's your reason?
Go well
