J Oh how sad that such a lovely place is gone forever.
ummm debatable
Jindabyne was a very old town
that the dam flooded
and the wonderful positive is now
a GREAT new town with churches, modern shopping centre, sealed roads and more
that all came free from Snowy
the country, the people won with this 'free move', it really did
and today as more and more people discover the Snow
the old town would have never coped
so to me, its all very positive
the photo
the wooden bridge was blowen up by the Army
the photo was taken in front of the SMA/Snowy camp, looking westward up the valley
the river, in late summer, it was a slow sleepy stream
but in the Spring, the snow melt/run off, it was a roaring monster
dear Dex, maybe able to add even more info.
