Can't drop the tax cuts, too important economically, got to make them permanent imo.
The only practical way out of this fiscal mess most western governments have is higher growth, Governments and Congress are not going to cut anywhere near enough if at all to solve the fiscal issues and bring us back to sustainable RATIOS, it's the ratios that matter more than the actual levels or whole numbers.
Trump's policies and EO's are starting to fix these ratio's with Tariff policy doing most of the lifting at the moment, the tax cuts and the debt ceiling if they get passed are also needed to improve the progress. Theres more ways to fix the ratios than just cutting spending and if it can be done without cutting spending too sharply isn't that a better smoother option?
Latest numbers out in link show Exports are up and Imports are down, big drop in deficits in April the first month of Tariffs.
