Good morning Mr Fish and all,

It is a beautiful sunny morning here in WA.
I have just been browsing the thread, I do not have enough brain space left to analyse world events.
I have a problem with constant overthinking anyway. So it is nice to just to read these posts without needing to do research, as I have many other interests. I admire the way you are on the ball every day with world affairs

Anyway your post, which included this paragraph.

"It's the wealthy and the Companies that provide the capital to create the economic activity, career opportunities, new industries, funding of small business ventures and jobs, the more you tax them the higher the risk of investment and this just leads to lower investment, the lower the investment the poorer everyone becomes. Not sure if our Dim Jim understands this unfortunately."

This is so true and many far left leaning people fail to grasp this simple fact.
People become wealthy by being willing to take chances in building a business or investing, often sacrificing instant gratification and putting in very long hours along the way. Living simply as Buffet did eg.

But of course, not all have the same mindset or unfortunately due to genuine disabilities to achieve this.
I remember a woman who worked for us in England giving me a spiteful diatribe out of nowhere.
At the time we were running a garden centre and plant nursery, which we had built up into successful business in our old farmyard.

We had nothing to begin with, it started very slowly and we learned to propagate thousands of plants ourselves, bought 2nd hand poly tunnels.
Built benches to display plants from old wood etc.
Eventually we were employing up to 12 people. We worked 7 days a week, endless hours as well.
This woman was so envious and decided to take her frustration out on me. I was quite shocked the way she fired off tbh.

Anyway I am rambling, sorry. But

There are other more positive stories. We employed young people at weekends. One 15 year old boy was on his first day.
My husband asked him to creosote these hand made benches. He told him that to stop them from rotting, we need to paint every inch of wood, including the underneath. After an hour or so, he had a hissy fit, slammed down the brush and said “I am not doing this crappy job” and was instantly sacked.
The following Saturday, he returned, after having a real dressing down from his mother. Full of apologies and begging for another chance,
He was given it and went on to be a great worker, very interested in horticulture. In fact he moved to the USA and started a very successful organic
    business.

I have gone off on a tangent here lol. But I was brought up skint. My Dad always said, keep a spare fiver in your back pocket. In other words, he taught me to save. This was great advice and no matter what job I had, I always tried to make extra on the side, either with a 2nd job or making things to sell. I often wonder why I still tend to worry about money now. But it is hard to change a habit of a lifetime.

Anyway, I must get on and start listing my collection of “stuff” on ebay which I have collected-hoarded over my life, cant help myself still

    Have a lovely weekend all.
