Hi kingpins, Are you referring to Australia, the UK or both?
Even with conscription, I think many young British men (do we include the new arrivals in with them?? ) Would prefer to shoot their knee caps off to avoid conscription.
How about young Australian men? Unfortunately, I do not not know that many, to judge if they are patriotic, peace loving or cowards. Perhaps you can give me your opinion.
I would like to think that Australian men have more bravery and guts than the new breed of British men. I do not know.
As a pacifist at heart, I have sympathy with any who wish to avoid war. But previous generations sacrificed their freedom and often their lives to save their families and countrymen.
