" leftist universities." seems that it's a common accusation from people that have not been to university which is interesting. How would you know if universities are leftist if you have not attended one, @picastoc is one other person here that has attended university so maybe she can tell us if the are leftist.
The are so many professions that require a university education, are you suggesting doctors, engineers, geologists, IT ect ect are all taught leftist ideology? I did commerce and don't recall much in the way of political ideology.
Over the years we have had Labor and LNP governments, they are not that different and by no means communist. FYI Communism is a type of government as well as an economic system (a way of creating and sharing wealth). In a Communist system, individual people do not own land, factories, or machinery. Instead, the government or the whole community owns these things. Everyone is supposed to share the wealth that they create.
So yeah we don't live in a communist system
