A fellow up the road hit a cow on his way to work at the local meatworks. Pretty early in the morning and still dark. Not a very big motorbike. Killed him instantly and left his wife with four children. Our GP lived out of town and hit 2 cows over a five year period. In a Toyota Landcruiser he was unhurt. The black cows were not so lucky. Spent some time around Mudgee and those wombats were serious trouble. Further West the feral pig is a real hazard.
