I think it’s easy to misinterpret or misread things when they are only written. A word here or there that doesn’t work or can be misinterpreted. Missing the tone of something or a smile or any of the other cues that in real life tell us the emotion behind something.
But we can also all miss noticing when we aren’t sensitive to how someone else feels or what they think or we want our cake and eat it too. Or we find it hard to put ourselves in another’s shoes. Or we judge from our own perspective. Or misunderstand. Pretty human really
I guess all we can do is try to be decent and caring as long as we don’t descend to Rhett Butler’s famous line in gone with the wind
