Mine was perfect for more than 20 years (where did that time go?) I used to eventually have guys come here to do repotting
    or bring new plants @Justis
Fish were even born in the pond so I had it at ideal for any fish.

Pond in winter shade and summer sun for the water lilies. They cover the surface area well and the fish love lazily swimming
just below the lily leaves in summer. Water snails lay eggs on those pads.

Water flow increased and aerated for longer especially after treatment where it runs overnight as well.

pH tested each w/e like anyone with a touch of OCD would do.

I'm putting it down to too much fertilizer when the water iris were repotted. They took off growing and I ended up with
a great display of water iris. They grew so strongly they will need repotting again this year.

Water snail growing going in a separate container doing nicely though.

Sorry to bore others but the pond is a great feature in my garden and the water sound is great.

Fish nibble at floating stuff and it then get put into the snail container to regrow.

Come summer I will mostly empty onto lawns and gardens and give a treated top up of fresh water for my friends.
