Well it seems that I may have misunderstood the intent of the comments in the presentation slides. May have been clear if you had been there I guess.

Anyway I have had a chance to exchange a few emails today with Chris Roberts just to check things out.

Now he contends that I have misunderstood the reference to "partner".
He was intending to mean NZOG as the "partner".
This is what he had to say :
"The stable local partner is NZOG.

What we are saying is - any overseas oil company coming to NZ is likely to see NZOG as one of the leading, if not the leading, local candidate to work with.

In any part of the world they like to have a local partner - here in NZ, there's a good chance the local partner will be us."

Okay now you can go back to my original post under the "Howdy Pardner" thread and plug NZOG into those references to "partner" and see if it fits ok to you.

I have said that I will reserve judgement pending some more definite moves of a "partnership" kind. So watch this space could the relevant phrase to use at this stage.

So is a full takeover of PPP still on the cards ???? Your guess is as good as mine at this stage. But then again......
