13th July 2017: China Court documents reveal staggering handouts by Crown to lure Chinese high rollers to Australia.
The Shanghai Baoshan district court said Crown handed out a massive $35.8 billion in "rolling chips" to its Chinese VIP clients during that period.
This is how lucrative the China market had become for the casino group controlled by James Packer.
Attracting Chinese high rollers was the prime responsibility of Jason O'Connor.
Even more importantly for Crown Casino, was O'Connor's role in attempting to collect Crown's China debts in China.
With admissions, and convictions, of Gambling Crimes in China, Crown's China strategy is shot. It dare not set foot in China again.
