Hello Fatbob, Yes I think Smith would be wanting mediation, however the present Government may see an opportunity to play some Politics here by getting an a Case to the Courts before the next Election because after all the whole Opes Prime Saga took place under the previous Coalition Government.
ANZ activities could be right in the Forefront with such a Case. Seems to me that ANZ will end up 'Carrying the Can', from such a Case.
One way ahead for ANZ is to enter the Market and buy back the various affected Shares and return them to the many unfortubate Investors whose own Books were in Order at Opes Prime.
