Your right Bundabum and if I take that one step further if it was in fact BAS's Offshore Gippsland permits they were attracted to then why not also bid on MOG why BAS?
Has to be the Otway Shale whcih brings me back to my original guess that perhaps joining the dots it was COE sniffing around?
Whether they make a proper actual bid is yet to be seen but at the very least it shows someone thinks BAS is cheap enough to try take over
