This takeover talk is very interesting. I note that when BHP made the offer for Potash that it was 20% above the existing share price which would equate to about $2.70 takeover offer for ELM based on today's price. Is that good enough?
I assume the current share price rise is a bit in anticipation of a possible takeover. Has anyone got any "back of an envelope" calculation of a takeover price? Are there any precedents that we can look at in relation to this, especially in this sort of commodity space. What sort of offer would you need/want to agree to it?
It would be great to have a couple of interested parties if a bidding war broke out. Apart from BHP who could be the other possible suitor?
Cheers
