BHP to pay with 4.2 of its shares plus $20 cash is my prediction. This will give RIO shareholders over 50% in joint company plus a chance to buy more with the cash component.

BHP offer must be in the ballpark according to RIO's CEO, so they need to make a big offer. BHP shareholders will accept because many are also invested in RIO.
