Sydney - Wednesday - June 25: (RWE Australian Business News) - In response to an ASX price query over a rise from 37.5c on June 19 to 54.5c yesterday, Babcock & Brown Communities (ASX:BBC) said it was not aware of any information that could be an explanation. BBC says it has been the subject of speculative media articles regarding it being a potential takeover target. In addition, a special crossing of 39.9m (6pc of capital) BBC took place on Monday. BBC has not to date received any notification with regard to this trade and awaits the receipt of any relevant substantial shareholder notice.
