Take over thoughts

I have been thinking about the status of GDA and comments about a takeover . the only snippet i have about the latest couple of big holders (+5%) that there is some connection with grocery /food supply. my mind has been wandering about and kept coming back to Metcash /IGA, their 3 main areas are Food, Hardware & Alcohol
It seems that GDA would be a nice fit in their Alcohol portfolio. And not knowing how the shares are trading its hard to form an opinion. They could be quietly picking up a few parcels at a discount price, for instance the unmarketable holdings that GDA bought back on delisting, they would have been either cancelled or on sold to other holders and we have received no advise as to this. if this is the case I would hope that an offer is forthcoming in the near future, (possibly after July 1)
