The XJO closed marginally lower on Tuesday, where price spent most of the session dancing around the previous close, in what may be some form of indecision, or a lack of conviction.   Price traded inside the previous bars range on quite low volume (for a Tuesday).  The close remained above the line @5734.9 , which gave it a slightly positive nature in the end.  After a sharp rise for a couple of days, it is not surprising that the Index spent the day attempting to consolidate those gains.  The lowish volume suggests a lack of demand when price looked like pushing higher, and a lack of selling pressure when price dipped lower.  The recent price action suggests 'sideways to up' is the most likely in the near term, however countering that, any push above this level has found difficulties since early September.
