take your pick - last week of july, page-5

I am not one much for premonitions, but I took the kids to the zoo today, and I swear the leopard went nuts at us. It was not at all happy in the cage. Admittedly it was a snow leopard, but close enough. Normally any of those big cats just pace up and down, completely bored, along a well worn path. Today it was up at the fence, and it actually ran at a fair pace straight at us a skidded to a stop at the fence. Staring us down. It scared the bejesus out of my youngest. Now my kids can annoy all creatures great and small, but they weren't doing anything odd at the time.
Premonition, or odd story of coincidence from strange man clutching at false hope. Probably the later, but still it was nice to see a fierce and frisky leopard exerting its superiority.
