They built the operations of the business originally (pre float) so maybe they step back in to oversee returning it to a profitable state (plus if the price recovers its a good investment for them also)

Can't see a better alternative for the company as I doubt private equity would look at them given it probably fears sub prime product in CCPs loan book and the other privitisations have reputedly not been that successful (ie baycorp)

You'd hope that it might fly under the radar for a year or two whilst it returns its historically smaller but profitable model and then market confidence slowly gets restored.
