With JV negotiations on the verge of an announcement I think it most unlikely SDL would accept what could be seen as a token offer at this stage.
SDL have only scratched the surface of their exploration leases, already have a JORC compliant world class deposit and willing JV partners waiting on a decision as to who will gain approval.
Capex paid back in a short period, initial DSO for some ten years with as yet unknown deposits to be discovered.
Assuming Hanlong are one of the partners vying for JV acceptance any other hopefuls would be unlikely to sit and watch a 20 year plus project go without at least some sort of bidding contest emerging.
GJ came back to this Company after the tragic plane accident.
He came back to honour his colleagues by ensuring that their vision for SDL was achieved....!! Remember, GJ showed his integrity, honour and ethics in returning. He wasn't asked, he offered....!
To me, nothing has changed.
Aussies don't let their mates down...!!!!
That's my two bob's worth
