Sorry for the basic question here. If either of the proposed offers (neither of which I am in favour of BTW) go ahead and we receive new shares in the new holding company, does this create a CGT event?
I bought my shares at the March low points (don't hate me) and would like to hold for at least 12 months to reduce CGT (not to mention I believe in the company and want to hold long-term). But may face heavy CGT if im forced to sell out.
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
