[Dow Jones] Takeover speculation surrounding Suncorp-Metway (SUN.AU) to be revisited again today with report it has received a number of informal approaches from larger rivals, including Commonwealth Bank (CBA.AU) and ANZ (ANZ.AU), Without citing its sources, the Australian Financial Review says Suncorp is being advised by UBS. Report follows news yesterday SUN has sold down some of its local and international equities to shore up capital. CBA, SUN not immediately available to comment. Last trade A$9.61.(SVM)
