The messages out of the conference calls:- CRN wants more thermal, BTU wants Aussie Met. Both sides softly setting the scene of how they will sell it to their investors.
My opinion is that it is happening. Most probably announced next weekend 13/11.
Suspect they are waiting to see where share prices sit post quarterly announcements to confirm pricing.
Something around 1 BTU share for 15 CRN should get it done. (Around $2.52 based on current BTU price) About a 30% premium to the ex div CRN price. Peabody to promise an ASX listing for local shareholders.
