Hi Gotta,

I knew very little about LHD until they put the for sale sign up recently, my initial reaction was negative but after looking at them a bit closer I think there will be a profit in it. The coverage and volume here is greater than in Australia presumably because LHD operate in the North Sea and there are more participants on the London markets.

The point of my valuation post was not to put an exact dollar amount on the company but more to get a feel for if there is any upside from here (~10cents/6.5p). Clearly I think there is although it's difficult to say how much.

We moved to the UK a couple of years ago and are staying here for the foreseeable future after moving from NSW. The current dollar strength/pound weakness makes it economically viable here but the quality of life is not a patch on the lucky country. Good time to invest here though. I actively manage my own Super fund in Australia so keep a close eye on the ASX but most of my private holdings are in the UK.
