Brief conversation but L2 did confirm he was aware of the $3 rumour and that GOD (JC!)not only feeds the 5000 but delivers opportunity such as today's price for the Marion faithfull. Infedels who panick receive no benefit.

Here is what I know....A Macquarie broker rang a leading melbourne broker and asked the melb broker, could he confirm that there was a $3 offer on the table. melb broker was not aware of this rumour, but was not surprised by it, bearing in mind that this might be the beginning of the anticipated Dutch auction process. Usually where there is smoke there is fire and this baby is burning hot. This rumour may indeed be false but you can bet your arse that one day pretty soon it will be real. If tomorrow, the price will go above $3 in expectation that a counter offer is made......cross your fingers.
