Hello Rebel, HT et al. I have been away from the site for a couple of months - sold OZL and then got crook, but recovering. I have just heard the same rumour myself and what good timing! I was gonna post anyway as I am back on my feet and bought back in after the announcement yesterday. Apparently, there is talk that OZL board is considering two offers - one cash and one shares, but I don't know who. Seperately, that they have courted BHP to buy PH to pump sp and to ensure "oodles of cash" in case bank loan not rolled over. They would eventually replace PH (ie spend the cash) with an opportunistic takeover(s) when metals prices rise. I thought it sounded like a "lift your spirits" attempt, so asked the credibility of the source - could be eminating from the (Melbourne) broker involved? How does this all tie in with what you heard? When will the OZL board be obliged to tell market of this (if at all)?
