Because they are restructuring.
Surely PBL are not going to split their business into 2 and then let the gaming side remain stagnant.
Off load a spare $2B to make the shareholders feel good and support their plans, then raise another $10 or $20B in a few months time. TAH might be a bit cheaper by then too.
Maybe they won't target TAH, but one would think that they will aggressively pursue growth.
