The current Myer saga is very interesting.
Solomon Lew is rushing to get an extraordinary general meeting before the next financial report, why?
The fact that he increased his stake could be:
In preparation for takeover
knows that Myer may be able to pay dividends to its shareholders
knows the vaccine rollout is going well and the worst may be over, hence Myer will do well in the second half.
on the other hand, latest response from management is hinting that the business is in good shape snd they are demanding a premium if SL were to launch a takeover bid
I do believe Myer’s management will pay dividends to gain confidence from other shareholders and force Solomon Lew to pay a premium if he wants control of Myer.
I believe the net result of this sage could potentially lead to a share price between 55 cents and 60 cents. After that your guess is as good as mine
