I used to work in a firm that conducted DD for energy asset purchases just like this one. I can almost guarantee there will be at least one or two other bidders, the question is just whether their DD is showing a higher valuation than what is already on the table.

Bidding for established generation assets in Australia (more so for wind assets) can be extremely competitive, and often there is far more demand for established assets than supply.
