takeover speculation question

Hi guys,

Well ive been a KIM holder for some time now and it's been very disappointing. Fundamentals look great, and i read this forum everyday, but everyone has been talking about this takeover rumour for sometime now, and i know it's 'insider trading' for such information to be leaked out but frankly how did one come to the conclusion that a takeover is soon to be over the horizon. Everytime the price jumps, its pushed back, and looking at the chart the last yr looks to me to be a downward trend. Im a holder, so obviously i want the share price to be way over 2 bucks but the way things are going it seem to struggle to keep a good price. Well besides yesterday's close :)
