my understanding is MVM do not currently
have blending and a canning capability so it would not be able to manufacture IF until they build this and get the appropriate licenses from China etc. This capability is not expected to be realised for at least 3 years. This lines up with the exclusivity with Synlait expiring. Also, I don’t believe MVM have a2 only milk contracts with their farmers. This herd would need to build up.
what I did have in mind in the short term, are some of the ingredients like lactoferrin(very expensive stuff) that go into the premium IF that MVM could supply Synlait with encouragement from A2 Milk. this is where there could be some business generated for MVM.
