What if KSO gets a takeover offer from Zijin, China' biggest mining/metal company, in 6-12 months time, for what it finds in Hole 28?

WA gold company targeted by Chinese miner

CHINESE mining company Zijin has made a $229 million take-over offer for West Australian gold miner Norton Gold Fields.

Zijin already holds a 17 per cent stake in Norton, and has offered 27 cents for each remaining Norton share.

Norton owns several open cut and underground operations at Paddington, near Kalgoorlie.

Its independent directors said the offer represented an attractive premium to the company's share price, which last traded at 18.5 cents.

Negotiations between the two companies are continuing.

The offer remains subject to due diligence procedures and approval from regulators and the Foreign Investment Review Board.

Drilling Starts at Bu Dun Hua
Drilling at the company's 100% owned Bu Dun Hua porphyry copper project started this morning.

Three separate mineralised porphyry targets are to be tested in an initial 2,500m program.

Ghenghis (Hole 28)

Strongly anomalous copper and gold values were encountered in 2011 in two drill-holes probing the margins of the Ghenghis target. The second of the two (BDH028) in particular, yielded intercepts typical of wall-rock proximal to a porphyry copper deposit.

Following the initial hole at Nomad, a new hole will be drilled in towards the un-tested centre of the
Ghenghis anomaly, searching for a stronger, more consistently mineralised zone.
