I don't think he is really thinking so short term.
The field has 11 years in it - so if he can wrap it all up in the next year I think he will be pretty set going forwards.
I am not so sure the board won't spill, the incumbents have produced the lowest share price since listing 18 years back - you can only blame a fall in oil for so much - they surely won't have many friends. They have made no one any money and that makes people dislike them.
The new guys, well the negative to them is their track records which are abysmal for a couple of them, so they are probably worse.
Who is the lessor of 2 evils may well win control.
The Thai's have a lot of money. Be nice if they shared it.
