Kathmandu Group, the listed Australasian equipment and outdoor clothing retailer, could be a target for takeover, reported the National Business Review.On 24 March, Kathmandu's share price dropped by 1% because of weak guidance and sluggish sales. The drop in share price, the group's underperformance and the low interest rate environment could create the possibility of a takeover for the company, the report cited Farina Parsons, an analyst at Morningstar, as saying.Parsons named Australia-listed Super Retail Group, Ray's Outdoor, Premier Investments, BCF Boating Camping and Fishing, and Rebel as possible bidders.Kathmandu has a market cap of USD 203m.[/table]
