I have a hard time understanding the logic behind either KFE or Cross River or New project X, it would be like saying since Rio Tinto, BHP and FMG are operating iron ore mines and also are ramping up production there is no place for a newcomber like Roy Hill, soon to reach 55 Mton per annum...
According to UN world projected population from "2017 to 2050, it is expected that half of the world’s population growth will be concentrated in just nine countries: India, NIGERIA, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pakistan, Ethiopia, the United Republic of Tanzania, the United States of America, Uganda and Indonesia."
"Africa continues to experience high rates of population growth. Between 2017 and 2050, the populations of 26 African countries are projected to expand to at least double their current size."
Does anybody really believe that this tremendous growth will demand less steel in the future than today?
