Problem with Sojitz is foreign ownership. Would FIRB see it any differently than years ago? Otherwise I’m sure they would have had a go already and right now, Lynas would be more than happy and relieved to accept IMO.
Either way, I believe Lynas is as good as gone, just a question of to whom and at what price.
What the Lynas board should be doing in IMO is stop pussy footing around trying to bang their head against the brick wall of Malaysian politics and get legal.
