Sojitz is a relatively small metals trading house, 7% owner of JARE with semi govt JOGMEC.
If any were to take a blocking stake it would be the likes of Hitachi, Shin-Etsu, TDK, etc.
Shin-Etsu would be my pick, quite a strong symbiosis, would make a good deal of sense from a straight business perspective. Always thought them a potential candidate for a downstream metals JV.
