The lack of overt action by both WF and Japan is interesting.
Perhaps WF are continuing their behind-the-scenes white anting which will win them no friends besides perhaps Malaysian Govt. Maybe the reactions to their antics have given them the message its not worth pursuing it but I doubt that.
What should the Japanese (Sojitz, JOCMEG or govt) do? THe message of support for Lynas & its management was strong as was the govt "intervene if necessary" message. No doubt the balance is going on behind closed doors.
