Just an observation whilst in the supermarket with the wife. She always loved kraft crunchy peanut butter and as a savy shopper i have been buying bega peanut butter since Bega bought it out to ensure her continued satisfaction. Then the other day i noticed Kraft peanut butter had been put in the trolley by her, purely on brand, not realising Bega an Australian brand had bought the item off Kraft. My question is did they buy the exclusive rights to the recipe as well and whether my wife will be satisfied with the Kraft product? When i pointed out she should buy Bega she said "whatever", so brand is a very important driver in consumer habits.But when i pointed out an Aussie owned peanut butter my wife was not worried by buying an overseas brand in lieu of Aussie quality, i was frustrated.
