In TA terms the AVO charts is marking out a continuation pattern as a symmetrical triangle off the flank of its large domal high of last year. The symmetrical triangle is normally interpreted as a bullish formation. Have a look in www.bigcharts.com and put in the symbol box AU:AVO then go to Advanced Charting and fiddle about to suit whatever charting technique you want to look at. You will notice overt the last few weeks the trading range has been tightening up with its base being the 200 day MA.
