I personally dont think Pointsbet should have gone into USA... There was a company in Kenya by the name sportpesa which made 5 billion USD in their third year from a 20k initial startup investment their first year and evaded taxes for over 6 years and the government got fed up and shut it down because the revenue they made was insane and they evaded taxes... This Kenyan company went as far as sponsoring Arsenal and Hull city a 400M dollar deal... The premier league brought in billions as well and sports gambling was insane... People blow their salaries on gambling in Africa... I once went to senegal and locals would hit casinos after 5 daily... Starting up in Africa is cheap and gambling business grows like 10,000% annually... Taxes are high at 35% but nobody cares because the revenues can boggle your mind... The money pointsbet is spending in USA to market their platform would have set them off well all across Africa...
