when NIA was 21c, Nickel was over $45K/t - if we say $10K is production costs then thats $35K profit per tonn
Now nickel is $16K/t so can we say $6K profit per tonn which is now a 80% reduction in profit.
I watched an old 60minutes video with the previous CEO who stated that because of the high price of nickle and that they saw it going up more its worth opening this mine again. that was when nickle was $40K/t
now nickle prices are under half what they were.
so is the current price really cheap?
