my question is are ctp able to drill at all without bg's consent??
YES THEY ARE.
locked in the terms of JOA joint operating agreements.
listen to JH on www.brr.com has mentioned with or without BG we can commence drilling.
if BG do not sign they are in breach, CTP can choose,emphasis choose to commence drilling and BG MAY BE still BE A JV partner at a latter stage of development of project at a higher entry cost,if results are commercial.
WHY where the rigs tendered for and ready to go if CTP knew they legally where not able to commence drilling.
IMO ROGS involvement is the only issue that BG can question and not CTP right to commence drilling.
Would really appreciate Sav-J thoughts on right to drill.
