rainmaker have you seen their presentations on their website they already have almond experience and have traded here for many years especially in cotton.
Olam I think may well be interested but there are still a few humps in the way. If they have purchased the TIM scheme land they already own the plantations. I am not sure they will trust all the old TIM staff. I here the table grape scheme was a disaster from day one.
I wouldnt say they are not a potential target but they already produce in the USA as I understand it. They may well be able to avoid SHV if they wanted to. The remaining schemes of almonds is SHV's and TPIF so they may want them both or only one of or maybe they have enough.
If you watch their webcast they are very calculated and in some ways extremely strategic.
I wouldnt be running to buy until the growers have agreed that they dont have a say in this transaction.
