He probably has a good chunk of his wealth in NTC and with the Board/CEO performance in losing investor confidence in their ability to communicate and extract maximum value from SP, then this is probably the quickest way to get the SP up. The alternative is to wait for a few years for company to justify their R&D through contract wins and 5G success. That's a long road for many investors, including, it appears DS. I'd take $1.40-$1.60, TBH.

Also note, this process will flush out any industry buyers which would definitely have the most synergistic value to extract from a BO.
